Samsung is about to cause a major ripple in the mobile market by launching its next foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Z TriFold. It is slated to be the second smartphone comprising three foldable screens. Prior to this, Huawei was offering its own triple screen smartphone, the Mate XT Ultimate, in China.
Samsung hasn't disclosed the full feature set or specifications of their new TriFold smartphone as yet, but the folding mechanism has come to the fore, wherein the rightmost screen would serve as the base, on which the middle and the leftmost screens would fold upon, in a zigzag manner, akin to creating a 'Z' shape as the screens open outwards.
The pricing and sales channels are still under the wraps, but if prices for the current dual fold Samsung Galaxy Z Fold series are taken into consideration, this triple screen foldable should be an extremely costly affair, putting it into the super premium category, much like sports cars, if compared to automotive industry. However, the prices should gradually dwindle down as the product and the newest related technology becomes mainstream. Lets wait and see how the series is received by end consumers though.
