ARC, the Indian gaming hardware company developing a premium handheld gaming ecosystem, has announced a pre-launch beta testing programme for its upcoming ARC X1 handheld. The initiative will give selected community members early access to the device and an opportunity to provide feedback before its commercial launch.
The first phase of the programme is open exclusively to existing ARC X1 waitlist members, while users joining the waitlist from 1 August will be eligible for Phase 2.
Selected participants will test the handheld in real-world gaming scenarios and share feedback on performance, controls, software, ergonomics, battery life and overall gameplay. ARC says the insights will help refine the product alongside its internal testing efforts.
"Building a gaming handheld isn't just about engineering great hardware—it's about understanding how gamers actually play," said Kaustubh K. Jadhav, Co-founder, ARC. "This beta programme gives gamers an opportunity to experience the ARC X1 before launch while helping us build an even better product."
ARC said the programme is a structured product testing initiative rather than a promotional campaign or giveaway. Participants will be selected to represent different gaming preferences and play styles, enabling the company to gather diverse real-world feedback before launch.
The company added that it plans to share learnings from the beta programme with its wider community as development progresses. Gamers interested in participating can join the ARC X1 waitlist, where eligible members will be considered for the limited beta testing programme.
